TMJ, Head, Neck and Jaw Treatment
A focused service for people who want hands on work that actually helps
I have lived with TMJ related issues my entire life. Migraine. Tension headaches. Continuous tinnitus. Clicking when I chew. A jaw that aches on busy days. Neck pressure. Shoulder tightness. It has been a long list and no one ever treated it in a way that felt right. I also have ADHD and I am now menopausal. I lose patience quickly when a therapist spends a chunk of my paid session holding a clipboard and asking rigid questions that never seem to lead to meaningful hands on work.
Eventually I decided to train properly and treat TMJ myself. My approach is intuitive and collaborative. I work by feel and I work in real time. Every TMJ client presents differently so I adjust as we go. I can sense where tension sits but I still need you to tell me what you are feeling, especially in the first session. Clear communication helps me treat more effectively and gives you better results.
This is why my treatment is hands on from the start. No clipboard in the room. No formulaic questionnaires. No rigid routine. Just focused, detailed work on the areas that genuinely affect your jaw health. You get your full session time and an approach built on lived experience, not guesswork.
What I Treat
TMJ related issues show up in many ways. I work with people who experience:
• Jaw pain that comes and goes
• Constant clenching or grinding
• Clicking or popping in the jaw
• Tension headaches
• Pain behind the eyes
• Neck tightness and pressure
• Shoulder tension that pulls everything upward
• Facial tension around the cheeks, temples and brow
• Ear pressure or fullness
• Sleep disturbance from jaw strain
• Stress that lives in the upper body
If any of these feel familiar, my work will be relevant to you.
How I Treat TMJ
I use a combination of external and intra oral jaw work, detailed upper body treatment and focused soft tissue work that targets the places most practitioners miss.
Unless someone has lived with TMJ dysfunction themselves they often treat it as a jaw only problem. It is never that simple. Your jaw hurts because your neck is tense. Your neck is tense because your shoulders have been carrying pressure for too long. Your breathing changes when your upper body is tight. One area influences the next. I work with that whole pattern rather than isolating the jaw and hoping for the best.
Intuitive work guided by your body
I do not force a routine on you. I pay attention to what your muscles are doing whether they are guarding, releasing or holding layers of old tension. You guide me with your feedback and we adjust the session together.
Intra oral release
With your consent I work inside the mouth to access the deeper muscles that influence jaw alignment and comfort. This is often the missing piece for clients who have tried everything else.
Head, neck, face and shoulder reset
The jaw never works alone. I treat the base of the skull, the front of the neck, the scalene muscles, upper traps, face and outer jaw along with the deeper layers that hold everyday stress. Each area influences the next so addressing the whole upper body creates longer lasting relief.
Support for women at any stage of hormonal change
Perimenopause and menopause can intensify clenching, headaches and sleep issues. I understand this both personally and professionally. My work is calm, grounding and practical.
What to Expect in a Session
• A short conversation when you arrive

• You point to where you feel tension
• I start treatment straight away
• You receive full hands on time without interruptions
